Help Wanted!
CPR is fortunate to have a number of great volunteers.  There are many ways volunteers help our organization, and several different volunteer opportunities.

Crisis Line Volunteer Advocates:  These caring individuals answer our crisis line phone after hours and on weekends.  We have a cell phone that they can carry around with them during their normal activities.  There is a staff person also on call to assist if they need help.  Our volunteer advocates receive 40 hours of initial training, and 10 hours per year of continuing education after that time.  Individuals who want to be crisis line advocates need to be able to pass a criminal background check and DFS check.  Contact us for an application.

Child care volunteers:  These great people help care for children during our women's support group.  This group meets once a week for about an hour and a half.  If you are interested in volunteering in this way, you must be able to pass a criminal background check and DFS check.  Contact us for an application.

Pet Fostering Volunteers:  One of the biggest reasons people stay in abusive relationships is because they fear what will happen to their pets if they were to leave their abuser.  Volunteer pet fostering gives people a short-term place to house their animals while they are transitioning to a safe environment.  If you are interested in being on the list for potential pet fostering, please contact us.

One-Time Project Volunteers:  CPR has many opportunities for adults and youth to volunteer for one-time projects.  We have a large yard that is maintained including many trees and bushes.  We also appreciate help with fundraisers and events.  If you have a skill you think could be helpful, please give us a call.

CPR Board of Directors:  CPR is governed by a five member board made up of members of our community.  These individuals volunteer their time to help advance our mission and improve services to victims of crime.  If you are interested in applying to be on our board, please contact us for an application.
